Théo Lebrun bd10a0172f package/bpftool: disable feature auto-detection for host build
On my system:

    $ readelf -d host/sbin/bpftool | awk '/NEEDED/ {$1=""; print}'
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libelf.so.1] # ACK
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libz.so.1] # ACK
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libcap.so.2] # NACK
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libLLVM.so.22.1] # NACK
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libc.so.6] # ACK

After:

    $ readelf -d host/sbin/bpftool | awk '/NEEDED/ {$1=""; print}'
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libelf.so.1]
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libz.so.1]
    (NEEDED) Shared library: [libc.so.6]

Host bpftool auto-detects optional features by probing the system.
In my case it finds:
 - libcap which resolves to my system shared object because
   BR2_PACKAGE_LIBCAP=n.
 - libLLVM which resolves to the BR2-built one thanks to llvm-config in
   $PATH. But we don't have that marked as an explicit dependency.

Avoid the mechanism by hardcoding FEATURE_TESTS to the empty string.
Goal is to make the host-bpftool more hermetic to the host system. If
we ever need those features (future xdp-tools package doesn't), then
we'll add the dependency explicitly.

Buildroot is a simple, efficient and easy-to-use tool to generate embedded
Linux systems through cross-compilation.

The documentation can be found in docs/manual. You can generate a text
document with 'make manual-text' and read output/docs/manual/manual.text.
Online documentation can be found at https://buildroot.org/docs.html

To build and use the buildroot stuff, do the following:

1) run 'make menuconfig'
2) select the target architecture and the packages you wish to compile
3) run 'make'
4) wait while it compiles
5) find the kernel, bootloader, root filesystem, etc. in output/images

You do not need to be root to build or run buildroot. Have fun!

Buildroot comes with a basic configuration for a number of boards. Run
'make list-defconfigs' to view the list of provided configurations.

Please feed suggestions, bug reports, insults, and bribes back to the
buildroot mailing list: buildroot@buildroot.org
You can also find us on #buildroot on OFTC IRC.
